Rise Against Hunger
Saturday, February 1, 2025
Please consider helping us come one step closer to a world without hunger by volunteering for our 3rd Annual Rise Against Hunger meal packaging event on Saturday, February 1. We will post details as we get closer to the date, but if you have questions, please contact our Missions Team, chairperson, Donna Pankratz at donnampankratz@gmail.com or 864.719.0321.
Our goal is to package at least 20,000 meals in two hours from 10 am to 12 noon. To do that, we need at least 100 volunteers! Teams will work together to measure, seal, label, package and load onto pallets meals of rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and micro nutrient packets containing twenty essential vitamins and minerals.
We are blessed this year that several churches have come together to fund this impactful program including Walhalla Presbyterian, Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Seneca, St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Richland Presbyterian Church and West Union Presbyterian Chapel.
This is not only a meaningful ministry, it’s fun to do with friends and family! We encourage you to invite others to join us by sharing the registration information with them.
